How to make a Carbine Crossbow Part 1

These designs are for the carbine crossbow I am making if you would like to follow along please watch the videos and be aware that some parts of the design may be changed along the way or may not even work but we will make a crossbow by the end of the series, I promise!

If you see any of the more unusual designs on other websites or for sale they are not from me and those designs have been stolen,(not all my designs are original but many are) I have seen t-shirts with my stuff personal designs on, websites using my images, Chinese companies selling blatant rip off's of designs I created and have even seen my designs / pictures on a computer game too, all of which I was not asked permission, although I am not that bothered a credit or mention would have been nice, lol.
I've even seen a few tattoos of my dusters!

I might make a video later showing the t-shirts, tattoo's, game images etc.

And before anyone asks - I do not sell them and cannot tell you where to buy them.

Solid Brass Knuckles / Knuckle Duster 2015

Solid Brass Knuckle Duster - A Solid Brass Traditional Style Knuckle Duster, Based on the classic design that's has been around for many years.
This design and finger hole shape are perfect for most hands depending on size of knuckle duster, they are very comfortable and safe too use, the large palm rest and finger hole shape make these comfortable and sit in the palm of the hand securely and safely.




These took approx 6 - 8 hrs to make and was one of the hardest type of brass the maker has ever used, drilling was very hard with two drill bits breaking, luckily when the fileing the finger holes the maker used a rasp type bit in a drill to shape the fingers holes very quickly

The size is suited to Medium or Large hands.
Features oval finger holes and a curved palm rest, weight is quite heavy due it being brass, brass can feel heavy when carried or worn and some people find them too heavy, and certainly is considerably heavier when weighed against aluminium of the same thickness.

Overall I would say Brass makes a very attractive knuckle duster and due to its design is also practical too, at a later date I will re-sand these to a mirror finish, thats should happen sometime later in july 2015
 
Dimensions - 120mm wide, 67mm high, 6mm thick, Finger holes are 25mm wide.

Modded Maglite Flashlight (lead weighted & lanyard)

 

 

 

Modded 3 D-Cell Maglite Flashlight - with added lead weight for self defence and a lanyard.

The lanyard was made by drilling two holes in the pommel of the maglite, inserting paracord , tying it off and filling the holes with silicone sealant to keep the flashlight waterproof,

The lead is inserted around the bulb holder but leaving a gap so the bulb can still move freely for focusing, then some strips of lead were added to the top under the reflector. this changes the weight from 23oz or 674g to 31oz or 900g.

The reason for these modification is to turn a decent flashlight into an even better self defence weapon, you now have a self tighten lanyard - meaning the flashlight cannot be pulled out of your hand and lots of added weight in the striking end for a lot of a heavier hit.

These are very easy mods to do, anyone who can drill a hole and get hold of lead can do this, well worth doing in my opinion. doesn't now change the over looks of the flashlight and chances are no one would ever know the lead was there either.

I have hundreds of these designs all ready to be uploaded to the blog and every now and then I will upload 10 at a time.

Each group of templates are designed by myself and other Youtube users, and were all originally sent to myself as part of a design competition to see who can create the most original designs, most will be able to be used to make a knuckle duster  / brass knuckles straight from the template/ blueprint, some may need to be adjusted slightly

How To Use The Templates - First click on the templates you want, right click and save to your computer, after resizing the designs using the "SIZE OF TEMPLATES" info below to make sure they will fit you can then either print them off or you can get a piece of paper and trace the design from your P.C screen using paper and a pencil, once you have the designs on paper and they are the right size you can either cut out the design and draw around it with a permanent marker pen onto the material you are using to make the knuckle duster or cut out the design and stick it to the material.
To make sure the designs are symmetrical it is advised to cut them down the centre (top to bottom) draw one side on, turn over and draw the over half, this will result in a symmetrical template.
you will now have yourself a drawn on knuckle duster template ready to cut or drill out.
To ensure the templates are the correct size make sure the red or black borders are on the edge of a piece of A4  paper or the "1 inch" line is actually 1 inch.

SIZES OF TEMPLATES - All designs in the particular group are suited for size - Medium / Average hands - hole size is : 25mm wide and 30mm high approx.
or 27mm round if circular.
